✨ Before Your Appointment (Pre-Tan Prep)

Getting your skin ready makes all the difference in how your tan applies and how long it lasts.

Here’s your easy pre-tan checklist:

• Exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment Use a non-oily body scrub or exfoliating mitt, especially on dry areas like elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists. Smooth skin = even glow.

• Shave or wax the day before (not the day of) This gives your skin a chance to calm down and helps avoid any irritation or clogged pores.

• Skip the products on tanning day No lotion, deodorant, makeup, or perfume right before your tan—they can create barriers that affect how the solution absorbs.

• Be ready when we arrive! Makeup-free face, hair up and off your neck, jewelry off, and loose, dark outfit ready to slip into post-tan.

☀️ During Your Appointment (What to Expect)

SaltyGirl Tanning Co. is 100% mobile—we come to you! Here’s what to expect when we pull up with the glow:

• We’ll need a clean space about 6x6 feet This gives us room to set up our pop-up tent and gear. A living room, garage, or bathroom works great—ideally with good lighting, AC (so you don't sweat), and hard floors.

• We will need access to a power outlet

  And possibly a sink nearby.

• Please have the area ready when we arrive

  It keeps things quick and easy for both of us and helps us stay on schedule.

• Fur babies + little ones need to be occupied elsewhere We adore pets and kiddos, but we ask that they’re supervised by someone else during your appointment so we can focus and give you the best result possible.

• Appointments are booked in 1-hour time slots, but don’t worry—we’re usually in and out in 20–30 minutes. We prep everything in advance, so it’s smooth, efficient, and totally stress-free.

• You’ll undress to your comfort level Go nude, wear your own swimsuit, or use the disposable options we provide—whatever feels best for you!

• We’ll walk you through every step From your stance to drying time, we guide you through it all to make sure you’re comfy and confident.
